During the winter I get cabin fever and I need to go outside and do something. I normally try to get a few friends to come to the local ski hill. Or I try to get a party together for the ski hill out of town. Skiing is one of those things that I can do and i feel free. I started when i was 7. My grandmother worked at Norway Mountain so i was able to get a family pass and ski for free. Everyday for the next three months after my grandmother taught me how to ski i would be out on the hill riding down the hill, and then back up to the lodge on the chair lift.
Skiing made me feel free because it was the first time I could ever go somewhere without my parents right over my shoulder, I could chose which run I wanted to go down, and how fast I could go. Obviously every so often I would need to check in the lodge with my grandmother but I loved going back out and riding down the hill. I would fall often but I have never had a fall that discouraged me from getting back up and gliding back down the hill.
